Company addresses

Every company must have a Registered Office with a physical address in Tonga. The company also needs to have an address for service which could be at the registered office or elsewhere, this address must also be a physical address in Tonga. Other addresses required include the "address for communication" which could be a physical or postal address e.g. PO Box.

The physical address of a Registered Office and or address for service need not be at the company's place of business, nor in the same place. However, they must be at a physical location not a postal centre or document exchange. These addresses are first notified to the Registrar on the application for incorporation. The postal address can either be a physical or postal address.

If a company wishes to change any of its addresses (physical and/or postal), the change, and the date upon which it is to take effect, must be notified to the Registrar. Change in registered office and or address for service must be registered at least five working days before the change takes effect.
